中文摘要:海博网络是一家新兴的通讯设备制造商,于2000年底创办。公司年轻的CEO李海东以及管理团队的主要成员均来自于国内某大型通讯企业,且具有很强的技术实力。海博网络从事自有品牌的产品研发、生产和销售。创办初期的经营业绩、发展规模、成长速度引起国外知名风险投资商、通讯行业内各大知名品牌企业多方面关注。但是随着公司的发展,企业内部管理问题不断显现,并面临外部环境的巨大压力,终未能稳定业绩持续经营,于2006年6月被国内某通讯巨头收购,历时不足6年。本案例以场景回放方式详细描述企业从初创到被收购的历程,其中的经验供创业企业借鉴。

英文摘要:Harbor Networks was a new generation telecom equipment provider, which was founded at the end of 2000. The young CEO of Harbor, Mr. Li Haidong, and his management team came from a certain well-known telecom company in China. The major business of the Harbor Networks included product R&D, manufacture, and sales. Harbor has demonstrated excellent performance at the beginning, and the rapid development of Harbor has attracted wide attention from both companies in the telecom industry and investors. However, many internal management problems emerged and outside pressure severely inhibited the growth of the company. At last, the company couldn’t keep its performance and survival so that it had to be merged by a famous and large telecom company in June, 2006. This case elaborated Harbor’s stories in order to provide management implication to new start enterprises.
